About

My name is Mrs. Centner.

I started writing this blog a couple years ago in response to a horrible but entertaining spray tan incident. I wasn't sure if my life was exciting enough to blog about it (still not so sure at times) but encouragement and that tanning experience gave me a start. This blog has changed a lot since then although my writing style which involves endless rambling at times has not. I tend to be all over the place and found that I couldn't contain my blog to one single subject. On any given day my posts are about my love of baking and cooking, my desire to organize everything, my addiction to decorating and crafting, and my wonderful little family.

I was born and raised in a smallish town in Nebraska. Mr. C calls it small but it now has an Applebees so everyone knows it can’t be THAT small!  After 17 years I packed up my bags and my parents drove me to Arizona to attend ASU. I bawled my eyes out as we left town. I was excited but scared, and I knew life would never be the same –which is very true. Phoenix was huge and overwhelming and I got lost a lot (I’m directionally challenged), but it eventually became my home and led me to some amazing people.

I met Mr. C in college. He was literally the boy next door…next door to my dorm room anyhow. When I left for college my mother had told me the statistics of guys vs. girls at the college and although she was semi-joking she was a bit surprised when I called her up and told her that I had met this amazing guy and wanted to bring him home after Christmas. Of course my dad was not so thrilled that in the couple months I’d been gone I already wanted to bring someone home with me! They quickly saw what I had seen in Mr. C and some days I think they like him more than they like me.

Four years later I graduated from college and officially became Mrs. C. Lucky for me because what in the heck would I have called this blog otherwise? We've been married for seven years now and although we've had our obstacles, I can’t imagine going through life with anyone else.

Shortly after our wedding we added a furry addition. I picked a small, scared puppy out of a litter and instantly fell in love. I picked her up and didn't put her down until we got back to the house. Mr. C slept on the closet floor with her the first night because she wouldn't stop crying and she was NOT allowed on the bed. In case you were wondering, Coconut currently sleeps on our bed on her special blanket nightly. In the winter she’s usually IN the bed or we wrap her up in her special blanket. Oh how things change.

A few years ago we added our second fur ball. While we were buying dog treats I checked out the animals for adoption (not a good idea if you were wondering) and fell in love with a very playful kitty. The next day we adopted him and named him Oreo. Oreo and Coconut love playing together and keep us entertained on a daily basis.

After 8 years of marriage we decided it was time to add another member of the family.  Our daughter, Adeline, was born and we fell in love.  She's brought so much joy to our lives along with some sleepless nights.

Along with being a Christian, wife, mommy, daughter, aunt, sister, and friend, I am a designer, cook, baker, decorator, literature nut, organizer, game lover, movie enthusiast, traveler, and overall lover of life…oh, and a blogger! “In the Centner of it All” is sprinkled with these things that make up my life.

Thank you again so much for stopping by!  If you like what you see please leave me a comment! And, if you’d like to make/bake/cook something that I've posted about, feel free but please post back to me and leave me a comment so I can check out your blog too.  If you’re not a blogger, I’d still love to hear about how it went and any alterations that made it even better!

    1. Thank you so much! We think she's basically a cock-a-poo (cocker spaniel & poodle mix), but her parents weren't purebreds so we're not entirely positive. Thanks for stopping by!
